Tour & Explore!

  • 7432 North Carolina 87 Pittsboro, NC, 27312 (map)

For a June tour of the Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge, we are celebrating Pride Month and our LGBTQIA+ community! In addition to our usual self-guided tour, where you can meet rescued goats, sheep, ducks, geese, chickens, turkeys, and cows, we are planning fun Pride-themed activities! Share special rainbow treats with our residents, get your face painted, learn about influential queer animal activists at our education table, make buttons that show your Pride, and participate in an on-site raffle to benefit Chatham County Pride Alliance.

On your tour, our knowledgeable Tour Guideswill be stationed throughout the Refuge to tell enchanting stories of animal rescues, introducing you to each animal by name. Don’t miss our serene curved brick animal memorial, unique architectural designs, and our beautiful Pavilion where you can find Refuge merchandise for purchase and learn more about our mission.

In addition to meeting our 100+ farm animal residents and learning their rescue stories, you can enjoy delicious vegan eats from two local vendors: Soul’s Kitchen and Cake Slayer.
